Your success is a matter of PERSPECTIVE!

We’re all human, so occasionally even the most enlightened and optimistic of us hit a wall. Perhaps you’re struggling with some aspect of your writing, publishing, or marketing process. Something’s not working out. You’re stuck. You’re  feeling as though you just don’t know what to do differently. Consider this: something as small as shift in perspective could make all the difference.

I remember having a conversation with my sister one time about the idea of perspective, when she shared with me a great analogy I’ve always remembered. Pick up a piece of paper and hold it up facing you. You see a flat surface, perhaps with writing on it. Now, turn that paper 90 degrees in either direction, and all you’ll see is a tiny line – no more flat surface. The paper hasn’t changed; your perspective on it has.

A simple shift in perspective can make all the difference.

Just for fun, here are a few perspective illusions for you to play with. There are at least two ways to see every picture. Look for the answers at the bottom.

In the meantime, is there a way to shift your perspective, even subtly, to get out of your rut or dislodge your block? Remember to be gentle with yourself. The creative process is full of ups and downs. You’re doing really, really well!

Happy perspective shifting…
